What site is good for just plain communication?

I'm looking for a site that I can simply make new friends on. Something that's like a chat room but not a chat room. I mean I guess yahoo is cool but since I'm like fifteen, I don't have a lot of options. Oh and, uh, something that is not Facebook, twitter, form spring or anything like that. O.o
